Pygmy Acres was located on 8 acres in Libertyville, but September of 1991 was an exciting month! We moved Pygmy Acres 114 miles west to a 35 acre farm in Polo. We are now located in the Northwestern part of Illinois, about 90 miles west of Chicago.
We were very active in showing the Pygmy Goats, being members of the National Pygmy Goat Association and the American Goat Society, which are national organizations.
The Minature Donkeys were broguht in as protectors for the Pygmy Goats from dogs, coyotes, or any other animals that might harm the goats or thier baby kids. Then came the Llamas, which we were actively showing, the Wallabys.
Fowl have always been a part of Pygmy Acres, as well, bring represented by Indian Blue, White Peacocks, a wild assortment of Bantam Chickens and a few pair of exotic Game Pheasants.
